The Solar Eclipse in 2024 will stretch across the United States into Canada.
This trip will give you a unique opportunity to visit Prince Edward Island and stay on this property that is smack in the middle of totality for over 3 minutes in Tignish, PEI.
This trip is for you if you are a photographer wishing to capture the last Solar Eclipse in North American until 2044. You will capture it in a unique location, along with the added benefit of capturing the Milky Way over the island's many lighthouses.
Rustic but Comfortable Cottages
These rustic, but comfortable, cottages are fully equipped and sit on a large piece of property on Prince Edward island in the area of Tignish. Tignish is due to have totality for over 3 minutes, giving photographers the perfect amount of time to capture that beauty.
The cottages are oceanfront and are on the North East shore of Prince Edward.
They are only 12 minutes away from the North Point Light Station.
Also located on the property
- A quiet beach with miles of shoreline and sand stone cliffs for you to discover!
- A small wild blueberry farm for you to enjoy!
- A natural salt marsh and pond is a short walk up the beach and is the perfect spot to observe our native wildlife and vegetation.

Charlottetown Airport (YYG)
Flights
Flights will take us into Charlottetown Airport on the island.
Both Air Canada and United fly there.
The easiest departure airports are Raleigh Durham or Charlotte rather than Myrtle Beach.
Both have one stops flights, with a layover in Toronto.
Total travel time is about 6 hours.
There are longer itineraries as well with more stops and longer layovers.
Clearing customs, both directions, will occur in Toronto rather than here in the states.
Driving time is approximately 2 hrs from airport to the cottages in Tignish, PEI.
