We boarded a flight from Myrtle Beach, full of vim and vigor, ready to take on New England by storm.
After a great flight on Breeze airways, we landed in Providence, Rhode Island and collected our vehicle from Budget, a white Ford Escape, beginning mileage of 14,167, and away we went! NOTE: if you ever fly into Providence and rent a vehicle, it is a LONG walk, with the assistance of moving walkways, to get your vehicle.
Hungry, we immediately sought out food and arrived in a Rhode Island town called Cranston, a suburb of Providence, and stopped at a chain restaurant called Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub.
We had an amazing lunch (fish and shrimp and chips for me), augmented by our server named Miguel, an amazing soul with an electric personality who had us laughing, crying and hugging before leaving and we headed on our journey. A memorable stop.
Onward toward Stockbridge, Massachusetts, we stopped to stretch our legs in a town called Lee, Massachusetts. Lee has been voted as one of the top small towns in the United States. Very cute town! Was the filming place for The Cider House Rules movie!
Our first place to rest our heads on the journey that night was the beautiful Courtyard by Marriott Lenox Berkshires. Beautiful hotel and a very comfortable room.
